ANTICOROSIV was founded in 1955, as a result of the development of Romanian industry, especially of the chemical industry. The company responded to a dire necessity to create a Romanian industry of anticorrosive protection materials.
Until 1989, Anticorosiv was a company with unique profile in the country, specialized in producing materials and providing anticorrosive protection, fulfilling the demands of various industries.
The company's role in the Romanian industry was and still is a special one, that of ensuring the protection and functioning, in the best conditions of the most complex installations in the chemical and petrochemical industry, metallurgy of iron, energy and nuclear industry, car manufacturing industry, industrial and civil constructions etc.

| 1955 |
The "ANTICOROSIVUL" plant was founded with 53 employees, of which 32 workers and 12 specialists. From its foundation until 1958, the plant's production volume grew every year with 180-250%. |
| 1958 |
The plant moves to a new, bigger location. There is an increase in the production capacity and a diversification of the product range, as a result of the new workshops built: elastomer protection, putty and adhesives, plastic, latex and rubber spongy products, plastic and bakelite products, pumps and faucets. The plant now has its own research laboratory and a design workshop. |

The name changes to "The Anticorrosive Protection Plant" (UPA) and the plant receives investment funds for developing its production capacity. |
| 1972 |
The company enters a new stage of accelerated development. The company's name changes to "The Anticorrosive Protection and Special Machinery Plant (IPAUS). The existent production flux is modernized, the production capacity and volume increases. Until 1990 the plant develops new production workshops: adhesive tapes, cylinders, oxygen production installations, PVC + PAFS. |

Through a government decision, IPAUS becomes an industrial unit with juridical personality taking over the research activity for anticorrosive protection from CCPALV Bucharest. |

Based on the structure of IPAUS, joint-stock company ANTICOROSIV S.A. is founded. The company develops by means of applying new technology to the existent production fluxes, by using computer technology for the operating system and by providing laboratories with the modern technology necessary for implementing the ISO 9001 standard. |
| 1995 |
A new Research Department is added to ANTICOROSIV S.A., as well as a pilot production station. |
1996 |
A new modern installation becomes operational, for producing melting adhesives used in the furniture industry, for book binding and for food packaging. |
| 1999 |
The company is privatized. The main shareholder is the Brudhurst Investment Fund. |
| 2000 |
The company receives the ISO 9001 certification for the quality management system. |
| 2001-2004 |
The company undergoes a process of modernization according to the new environment protection law system of the European Union. |
